2020 12-21 Update

Greetings and Happy Holidays to all!
It has been a few weeks since my last report. As most of you know, the Condor Express is currently hauled-out and in the boat yard for maintenance and construction. I wanted to give you a brief update on our progress.
Progress is good!
In addition to regular yearly maintenance we are replacing the original 4 diesel engines that have been powering the ship since we launched in 2002. They were showing their age. Although all engines were upgraded to comply and exceed emission standards, they are currently being replaced with brand new ones. The new engines will put the Condor Express way ahead of the air quality standards, will provide better fuel consumption and add increased power to the boat.
As we go into the Christmas weekend, all 4 old engines have now been completely removed (see video). We’ll begin installing the new ones after Christmas.
Of course we miss being out in the Channel and miss our friends. We hope the season finds you, your family and friends safe and happy. We’ll see you soon.
Best regards for the holidays and a happy new year!
You never know what Mother Nature has in store.
