5 Gray whales including a mother and her calf.
Captain Eric reports that 2 trips left the docks today, one at 12 noon and the other at 3pm. Conditions were fairly nice on the noon adventure and 3 different gray whales were seen. At 3pm the Condor Express started following a mother-calf gray whale pair right outside Santa Barbara Harbor and continued watching them as they moved westward at a slow and steady pace. The 3pm trip experienced an increase in both wind and seas, but skies on both trips were open and sunny. Tomorrow we run noon and 3pm again.
