The crew of the Condor Express, under the command of Captain Eric, closely watched at least a dozen humpback whales and 2,000+ long-beaked common dolphins today. Sea conditions were fantastic, and the sun was shining all day long. Around the middle point of the trip we visited Santa Cruz Island and the Painted Cave.
The #whales mostly had long surface times and a few, especially on the trip home, breached and slapped their long pectoral fins. There was also a mother humpback with her calf in the mix. The #dolphins were around us all day long, and some of the pods were quite large. It was an beautiful day to be out and with cetaceans in the Santa Barbara Channel.
