Glutenous humpback whales feed all around the Condor Express
Among the 4 humpback whales we watched closely in the northeastern Santa Barbara Channel today, we saw our friend “Rope” who was with our other recent buddy “Chompers.” The two humpbacks performed surface lunge feeding very close to the Condor Express for over an hour. Everyone had the unique experience of being able to look right down into the massive mouths of these beasts as thousands of tiny silver anchovies were ready to hit the esophagus, stomach and so forth. Yumm!
In addition at least 5 Minke whales and 600 common dolphins were enjoying the dining experience. Sea conditions were ideal.
Wow! What a blast.
Hope to see you on board tomorrow. Bob Perry Condor Express
