Gray Whale Mother & Calf

The Condor found great conditions again in the Santa Barbara Channel.  Just outside the Harbor, near Leadbetter, we found a gray whale mother and her calf.  The pair was moving slowly southward along the coast.  Great looks were had by all.   Soon after the cow-calf sighting we encountered at least 1,000 long-beaked common dolphins and the clear blue water made their underwater antics amazing to see.   Towards the end of the trip a single inshore bottlenose dolphin came up and looked at us for a while.

A great trip!
