Captain Eric located a friendly humpback whale about 8 miles southeast of Santa Barbara Harbor and everyone on board the Condor Express had great looks at this cetacean. We stayed with this humpback whale for quite a while and sure enough, it took a monster leap and breached in front of us sending spray flying high.
There were also about 100 long-beaked common dolphins in the area. It was partly cloudy as a series of storms approach southern California. There was a moderate wind from the east and a long period swell that did not move the boat much.
