Mother & Calf Gray Whale & More !
Captain Eric reports a great day full of cool sightings from our 12 noon trip today. A lone calf or very small juvenile whale was our first sighting. It swam around in no apparent direction and everyone got great looks at this small beast. Soon thereafter we encountered a mother and her very small calf and these two stole the show for sure. Not only did they roll around and play with a giant kelp paddy drifting offshore, but they also came right up next to the Condor Express and spy-hopped several times for their fan club on the boat. It just doesn’t get any better than that ! We saw a few humpback spouts in the distance, and also a few more gray whales out there too, but spent our quality time with mom and the kid. 200 or more common dolphins were also riding along for fun.
You never know what Mother Nature has in store ! C’mon out at 12 noon tomorrow and see for yourself. Bob Perry Condor Express
