One juvenile and two big adult humpback whales…dolphins, too

2017 11-05 SB Channel

There was a moderate breeze and some chop on the surface, but Captain Dave and the crew of the Condor Express took a calm heading to the southeast and had good sightings today, including:  3 humpback whales and 1000 long-beaked common dolphins.

Things got lively south of Platform Habitat where a single, small humpback whale with a mostly all white tail was watched as it dove to feed among loads of dolphins and active sea birds.

After the little humpback encounter, Dave took the boat further east where two large, adult whales were found doing the same thing:  diving and feeding with birds and dolphins.  After some great looks, the pair headed west where they eventually joined up with the first whale we saw and became a trio of diving and feeding beasts.  What a great sight to see!

You never know what Mother Nature has in store. Bob Perry Condor Express

UPDATE:  There is no whale watch trip schedule for tomorrow, 11/5
