Surface feeding humpback whales today

Surface feeding humpbacks today.

Captain Dave reports seeing 4 humpback whales today and two of them were actively lunge feeding on the surface anchovy schools. This is always a rare treat to behold when conditions favor the fish schooling on the surface. In addition, 3 MInke whales and 400 common dolphins were watched on today’s adventure. The weather was still fantastic in the Santa Barbara Channel today.

Schedule changes: tomorrow (Thursday) we do not have any open whale watch trips; Friday the departure time has been changed to 8am.
