2019 07-13 SB Channel
Captain Dave and the crew found overcast and foggy conditions in the channel today. There was a moderate bump on the water from the west as well. Nonetheless, and I don’t know how he does it, sightings included 5 humpback whales, and 800 long-beaked common dolphins.
Dave took a course towards the middle of the channel where we initially found three whales and several hundred dolphins. After watching those for a while, the heading was eventually changed it to the east where two additional whales were located. Again, several hundred dolphins were in the area. It’s times like this that we appreciate the decades of experience the crew has, and their ability to find wildlife under less than perfect circumstances. Let’s hope conditions return to normal and the sun breaks through tomorrow! You never know what Mother Nature has in store. Bob Perry Condor Express, and CondorExpressPhotos.com
