Three humpback whales in the Santa Barbara Channel

The Santa Barbara Channel was drop-dead gorgeous today, with mirror glass conditions under great cloud formations. Among the three humpback whales was our pal “Rope” again today. The third whale is a smaller male humpback and breached several times to the delight of all on board. Common dolphins were coming by the boat non-stop, all day long.

Final tally: 3 humpback whales 1,000 common dolphins
